Marta Haladzhun is a Ukrainian composer based in Germany.
She works in the fields of contemporary music, multimedia, music theatre and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Marta Haladzhun was born in Lviv, Ukraine. She studied composition in Kyiv, Ukraine, and at the Hochschule für Musik und Theatre in Munich (MA) with Prof. Isabel Mundry and Multimedia composition at the HfMT Hamburg with Alexander Schubert and Georg Hajdu.
She is currently completing her Postgraduate degree at HMDK Stuttgart with Luxa Martin Schüttler.
Additionally, she participated in several workshops with Chaya Czernowin, Clara Iannotta, Stefano Gervasoni, Francesco Filidei, Sarah Nemtsov, Mauro Lanza, etc. Her music was played by different ensembles like Nostri Temporis, Barcelona Modern Ensemble, Kwartludium Ensemble, Riot Ensemble, Ensemble Proton Bern, Collegium Novum Zürich, etc.
She has participated in festivals such as Contrasts (UA), SoundsAroundMe(Vienna), Mixtur(SP), Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern (DE), Klangspuren Schwaz (AT), Darmstadt Summer Course (DE), Festival Junger Künstler Bayreuth (DE), Lauschvisite (DE), Sounds of Stuttgart (DE), etc.
In 2021 was rewarded at the 12th pre-art Competition for Young Composers (Switzerland) for the piece „Dust in crevices”.
In 2021, won Protonwerk No. 12 from ENSEMBLE PROTON BERN (Switzerland) and won at the EHTE Composition Contest 2021 (Spain).
Starting in 2025, she teaches composition as a minor subject at the HMDK Stuttgart.
In 2025 received the Shift‐Stipendium of the city of Stuttgart.
She is chosen to be Artist-in-residence at Cité internationale des arts in Paris for 2026.
